About Anna

Anna, from Ukraine, is a Bulgarian attorney.

She graduated from University of National and World Economy in 2011 with a J.D. equalence degree, and California University of Management and Sciences with Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2014.

She interned at District Court of Sofia and at the Supreme Court of Cassation of the Republic of Bulgaria, participating in the preparation of the acts, issued by judicial authorities, with main focus in Civil and Criminal cases. Shortly after, Anna passed an examination for Legal Capacity at Ministry of Justice of Bulgaria. Her official legal career started as an in-house Real estate attorney of Eurobereg Ltd, managing transfer of property and assisting with purchase and sale. Main duties included drafting agreements and preparing all mandatory paperwork for real estate transactions, included notary deed project and cost estimations.

In 2011, she joined Mountain Paradise Invest REIT – one of the biggest companies in Bulgaria and Worldwide, focusing on Corporate Governance, Real Estate, and Business Registration.

Being a volunteer at Los Angeles Superior Court, Anna Vasilyev helped people with low income, assisting to litigants with legal paperwork for a divorce, custody, paternity, and restraining orders. Being a volunteer of Asian Law Alliance, she assisted with immigration forms such as Work Authorization, Green Card, Citizenship Applications, and DACA. Currently, she is working at TIBCO Software Inc., as a Contract Rep., with the main focus in Intellectual Property Law, retrieving, reviewing, entering data from legal contracts, license agreements, and amendments.

In 2015 she attended First Summer Stanford Certificate “Understanding of US IP Law”, covering the following topics: The summer program will cover topics such as • Introduction to U.S. IP law and its international interface • Copyright • Copyright and the internet • Trademarks: Brand protection in the U.S. • Trademarks on the internet • Patents • Trade secrets • Design protection • IP licensing, technology transfer, antitrust concerns • Venture capital in Silicon Valley • IP litigation • Silicon Valley company visits

As a volunteer Anna Vasilyev had trained and helped to taxpayers with low income during tax season, being able to obtain training and Certificate in Basic and Advanced tax preparation, as well as International and Health savings by IRS.

Anna speaks four languages and is certified interpreter from/into Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, approved by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria in 2008. In 2018 she graduated from UC Berkeley with PLLM program, and certificates in IP & Business.
