She graduated law school from the Universidad Latina de América, has an M.A. in Human Rights from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, has an M.A. in Justice Studies from the Nacional de Ciencias Penales, has an LLM in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from American University and an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School.
