Lorena Cordero Peru About Lorena Lorena is an environmental lawyer of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). In 2016, she participated in the Environmental Leadership Programme – Sustainable Environmental Management at University of California, Berkeley, and currently, she is a Peruvian government fellow studying a Master in Public Administration in Energy, Technology and Climate Policy at University College London (UCL). She holds five years of experience in the private, government and NGO sectors in the assessment and compliance of environmental and energy regulations. Currently, as part of her master dissertation, she is a researcher in the project “Declaring Climate Emergency” between UCL and ARUP. The project is focused on identifying challenges for implementing the climate emergency declaration in UK local councils.. In 2020, she and her colleagues founded “Peruvian Young Energy Professionals”, an interdisciplinary team of young professionals that seeks to empower and promote the participation of new generations in the development and improvement of the energy industry in Peru.
