About Remedios

Remedios is co-founder and CEO at a service marketplace startup in Spain. The company targets expat residents in the coast of Spain, providing them with household services. As the company expands, other markets are already identified and on the roadmap.

Remedios has been a private practice lawyer for 10 years. After graduating from the University of Elche with an LL.B in Law, an LL.M. on Intellectual Property in the University of Alicante followed. She obtained UC Berkeley’s Professional Track Certificate in American Law and Professional Track Certificate in Law & Technology in 2015. On the professional side, Remedios cofounded Alia Legal, a law firm specialized on corporate and commercial matters, that is still active to date. Before that, she worked 5 years as an associate in Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira. As for the academic side, Remedios remains associate professor at the University of Elche, a position she started in 2016.

Through her legal and professional experience, Remedios is acutely aware of the frictions between compliance and business interests. Her ambition, at her startup, is to use data she collects to grow the business and build a bridge, using common ground, between locals and expats.
