About Riyanka

Riyanka Roy Choudhury is an experienced IP attorney, tech policy maker and legal tech strategist.

She is a CodeX fellow at The Stanford Centre for Legal Informatics. Riyanka advises startups globally in implementing emerging legal technologies and legal design in their organisation. At Stanford she is co-leading RegTrax project to create a global repository of Blockchain regulations and Machine-Generated Legal Documents Project.

She writes for CodeX Blog, Legal Business World, LawZam and others. Riyanka advises startups in implementing emerging legal technologies and legal design in their organisation. At Stanford’s Center of Internet and Society, she is researching on privacy policies of smart speakers. She is an advisory Board Member of 1Law, US, Core Team Member of Green Governance India and an Expert Panelist at Emerging Technologies Polices forum, Singapore. Riyanka worked as a Legislative Researcher at the office of Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

Riyanka graduated from UC Berkeley with specialisation in Law & Technology, and Business Law. Given her exceptional contribution in pro bono work, Riyanka received a gold cord and Dean’s recommendation letter during her graduation at Berkeley law. She holds an integrated dual degree in Bachelors in Business Administration (Management Honors.) and Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B) Honors. from National Law University Odisha, Cuttack, India.
