About USMAN

Usman finished his law degree in 2011. After graduating with a Masters in Law from Berkeley Law in 2016, he joined one of the leading corporate law chambers in Pakistan, Cornelius, Lane & Mufti (CLM). At CLM, he has been working on transactional matters as well as drafting and litigating on different constitutional, tax, employment and banking disputes before the High Courts of Lahore, Islamabad and Sindh. He also assists senior partners of the firm in preparation and research for cases before the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Besides practicing law, Usman is also a visiting faculty member at The Institute of Legal Studies (TILS), where he teaches the University of London external law degree students. This year he will be teaching International law.

Usman: “I believe BGS is a great step for the Berkeley alumni to not only build meaningful connections outside the US, but also to share our ideas with others. I always felt that Berkeley lagged behind other institutions in terms of engaging with the alumni at an international plane. But through BGS, Bears now have the perfect platform to build and maintain an interactive international community.”
