Sheherazade Amin

My name is Sheherazade Amin and I practice law in Lahore, Pakistan. I started my legal career with being engaged as a legal counsel on one of the most dramatic defamation and MeToo cases in Pakistan at the time, Ali Zafar v. Meesha Shafi. After starting off in the area of tort law, I found my niche in criminal law at Justice Project Pakistan, a legal clinic that advocates criminal cases especially those of prisoners on death row, mentally ill prisoners, juveniles and members of vulnerable groups of society. I heard of the Berkeley LL.M program from my work colleague, who is also a member of BGS, Ms. Ramla Baig. I would be honoured to be allowed to be part of such an amazing enterprise.
